Help for Heroes concert at Cathedral
Winchester Rotary Club presents a concert in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’ featuring the Treorchy Male Choir together with the Adjutant General’s Corps Band, one of Britain’s leading Military Bands at Winchester Cathedral this Saturday (September 26) evening at 7.30pm.
Set up in October 2007, Help for Heroes, in the words of the Prime Minister, has become a “National Institution” having already raised over £18 million to help support our wounded Servicemen and women injured in recent conflicts.
The programme for the evening will contain a wide variety of music including combined items by Choir and Band and the ever popular and entertaining soloist Mezzo Soprano Kate Woolveridge.
The concert will be introduced by journalist Kate Adie.
